🚜 Meet the Family Behind Cortez Miniature Highlander Cows

Our Roots: A Passion for Miniature Cattle

At Cortez Miniature Highlander Cows, our story began with a fascination for the iconic Highland cattle, quickly evolving into a dedication to their miniature counterparts. Our operation is a testament to quality over quantity. We are a family-owned farm, driven not by volume, but by a genuine commitment to the health, genetics, and temperament of every calf we raise.

Our Mission: Ethical Breeding and Responsible Ownership

Our core mission is to ethically breed and raise premium, registered Miniature Highlander cattle and connect them with responsible owners across the United States.

Commitment to Quality & Ethics:

  • Meticulous Genetics: We focus heavily on conformation, manageable size, and the signature docile temperament of the breed. We carefully select our breeding stock to ensure strong, healthy bloodlines and the continuation of exceptional traits.

  • A Life on Pasture: Our cattle are raised with access to ample pasture and fresh air. We believe a natural environment leads to happier, hardier, and better-adjusted animals.

  • Health First: We adhere to a stringent health protocol, working closely with our large animal veterinarian. Every calf receives routine checks, vaccinations, and is backed by a health guarantee, ensuring you receive a sound, well-started animal.

Beyond the Sale: Your Partner in Miniature Cow Ownership

We understand that purchasing a registered animal, especially one as unique as a Miniature Highlander, is a significant investment. When you choose Cortez, you don't just get a calf; you gain a lifelong resource.

What We Provide Our Customers:

  1. Transparency: Full access to lineage, photos, and health records for your chosen calf.

  2. Registration: All breeding-quality calves are sold with full registration papers.

  3. Ongoing Support: We are available to answer your questions about feeding, care, transportation, and integration into your existing farm setup—long after your calf arrives home.
